Chobhar Resort offers a limited number of newly renovated
rooms, which are single, double and apartment. Located inside
a traditional 200 year old Newari stonehouse, every effort has
been made to preserve the original features, reflecting the
local culture and tradition of this ancient village, whose
origins go back to the 12th Century.
In this totally unique setting, complete with old wood
beams, original wood carvings, statues, ancient iron
works, and many other features typical of Nepal's glorious
past, you will also have every advantage of modern
conveniences.
You can of course order meals and drinks from the
Café, served in your room if you wish. Complete security is guaranteed by the presence of guards, on 24 hour duty (each one on 8 hour duty)
We should mention that the top floor apartment is arranged like a
typical "loft" In this sense, it can accommodate in that one large room which occupies the entire top floor, either a couple,
or a small group of up to eight people who have come to Chobhar - for example - to share a common interest such as: meditation, bird watching, yoga, or retreat at the nearby
Chobhar Buddhist Monastery, headed by Mingyur Rinpoche.

If you are planning to take all your meals at our Resort, kindly
specify if you are vegetarian or non-vegetarian.
Upon receipt of your booking form, Chobhar “Le Village” Resort will send you a booking
confirmation, giving details of your booking. If you are arriving by air, and you would like
us to specially arrange for your transportation directly from Kathmandu Airport to Chobhar Village (15 kms) please specify this above in the section “Special requirements”
Be sure to provide us with Airline/flight number, time of arrival, number of persons in party, etc. When we confirm, we will advise cost of transportation, which shall be an extra charge
payable directly to the chauffeur or driver. When you check out of Chobhar Resort, several
taxis operate locally and may be contacted by mobile phone in a matter of minutes, and ready to collect you. Currently the standard taxi charge from Chobhar to the center of Kathmandu should not exceed US$ 6.00
